Ron Borges Doing Ron Borges Things: Says Bob Kraft Never Believed Tom Brady

CSSNE – The Deflategate controversy took an interesting turn on Tuesday when Robert Kraft threw in the towel instead of challenging the NFL like many thought he would.On Sports Tonight, Michael Felger suggested Kraft did an about-face with his argument because he and coach Bill Belichick were starting to believe that Brady wasn’t being completely transparent with what he told them.That’s when Ron Borges threw out an interesting piece of information.”Belichick never believed his story, from what I was told,” said Borges. “Because they all know. Why do you think all those retired quarterbacks, the Troy Aikmans of the world — Troy Aikman is about as nice a guy as I’ve ever met in football — nobody’s backed [Brady]. Nobody, not a single guy. Why do you think that is? Because they hate Brady? No. Because they’re not stupid. They know nothing’s done with those balls that the quarterback doesn’t want done.”

Listen it would be easy to sit here and call Ron Borges a plagiarizing piece of fuck who sucks at his job. It would be easy to discredit this article simply based on the fact that he has never said 1 positive thing about the Patriots in the past 20 years.   That he has zero credibility or integrity.   But I won’t do that because I’m better than that.   I won’t stoop to his level and play in the mud.   I’ll just break his back and make him humble with facts.   Ron Borges said this.

Great point Ron. Except virtually every single quarterback in the world HAS backed Tom Brady up that this is a total non story;

“I’m just going to let the cat of the bag, every team does it, every game, it has been since I played. Cause when you take the balls out of the bag, they are rock hard. And you can’t feel the ball as well. It’s too hard. Everybody puts the pin in and takes just enough air out of the ball that you can feel it a little better. But it’s not the point to where it’s flat. So I don’t know what the big deal is. It’s not something that’s not been done for 20 years.” “Well, I would say [to a ball boy], ‘Take a little bit of air out of it. It’s a little bit hard,’” Blake said. “And then he’d take a little bit out and I’d squeeze it and I’d be like, ‘OK, it’s perfect.’ That’s it.”

In 2012 Brad Johnson paid 7,500 for ball handlers to scuff and wear in the balls before Super Bowl XXXVII, per Johnson’s preference. “I paid some guys off to get the balls right,” Johnson told the Tampa Bay Times in 2012. “I went and got all 100 footballs, and they took care of all of them.”

Don’t let facts get in the way of a great rant Ron. Again this isn’t about whether Tom Brady likes his balls at 12.5 PSI or not. Deflategate has always been about the fact the NFL manufactured a nothing story into a major story because they hate the Patriots. This has been a witch hunt from the word go. Bob Kraft knows that.  Now suddenly Ron Borges wants us to believe Bob Kraft never believed Brady or thinks he did something wrong?  That Mr. Kraft was lying to us for 6 straight months. That he put out the Wellsreportincontext.com even though he knew Brady was guilty the entire time? Only an absolute fool would say that. And if Borges had all this information before Mr. Kraft said the Pats wouldn’t appeal why did he sit on it? Again something changed when Mr. Kraft went to the owners meetings. I still firmly believe that Mr. Kraft and Goodell made a deal and the deal was zero games for Brady in exchange for all this PR bullshit. Until the Brady appeal is heard we stand on the wall and we wait.
