Eddie Vedder Sang a Great Version of "Better Man" On David Letterman's 3rd-To-Last Show

Can’t believe only 3 more days of Dave. I used to tape (on a VCR) Letterman episodes because he was so good at his job. Late 90’s-early 2000’s I couldn’t get enough David Letterman in my life. Jay Leno got the better ratings, but that’s because Jay Leno is a cookie cutter product. He’s the George Lopez Show. He’s the Big Bang Theory. Letterman did his own thing, however he wanted to do it. Guy is a legend. We’re at a time now where late-night shows are less relevant than ever because of the 24 hour media cycle and YouTube, it’s not like you need to watch the late night shows to see interviews or hear jokes about the day’s events. But back before that, Dave was king. Glad he’s retiring though, as the current landscape is more for the Jimmy Fallons of the world. And don’t get me wrong, I love Fallon, he’s a genius in his own right, but now it’s more about making viral content to drive ratings than having good interviews. Will probably have another blog about Letterman this week, but the Vedder performance was too good not to share.
