A Cleveland Area USPS Worker Has Been Slinging Confiscated Packages for an Insane Profit

A Cleveland area Postal Manager, Anthony Sharp, has been brought up on charges by a federal grand jury this week for a scheme that made him "a great profit."  His charges include intent to distribute controlled substances, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, money laundering, and theft of mail.

Last month, Sharp was the subject of an investigation launched by the U.S. Postal Service Office of the Inspector General, after special agents and Postal Inspectors saw him hand-sorting the mail and removing two packages from the line.  Agents later saw Sharp carry both packages out to his car and leave with them.

Reports say that Sharp had been slipping packages off the line that he believed to contain weed, coke, meth, etc., and would bring them home to later sell.

There's no telling how long this had been going on, but I'm sure it wasn't tough to pick up on after Sharp was found to have used his earnings to buy a motorcycle and a super sweet Polaris Slingshot.

Bad. Ass.

Sharp's luck ran out when authorities pulled him over on his way home that day, to find not only the two packages from earlier but also a package filled with fentanyl and countless other empty boxes.  Sharp sadly had to turn over the Harley and the Slingshot along with thousands of dollars worth of other goods to authorities and he currently awaits trial.
