The First Reviews For Christopher Nolan's TENET Have Arrived
Drum roll, please...
Okay! This is right around what I was expecting, honestly, based on past Christopher Nolan critic ratings:
- TENET: 87%
- Dunkirk: 92%
- Interstellar: 72%
- The Dark Knight Rises: 87%
- Inception: 87%
- The Dark Knight: 94%
- The Prestige: 76%
- Batman Begins: 84%
- Insomnia: 92%
- Memento: 93%
Nolan always seems to hover right around this mark with Rotten Tomatoes. His movies are intense, complex, and not always for everyone.
But what do the reviews say specifically?
As always… a lot of "words."
People are giving IndieWire shit for the "humor" comment in their review, but I sort of understand what they're saying. It is clickbait, and I may end up disagreeing with it, but if the intricate concept of the movie is exhausting and not fun, then I see the point. "Humor" may have been a poor word choice, though.
What I don't like is the fact I can't fucking see this movie.
Theaters won't open in New York City for eternity at this point, so I have resided to the fact that this will be spoiled for me immediately.
Regardless, I can't wait to eventually plop down in front of an IMAX screen and take in all of the Nolan!
