It Was A Great Night To Score Four Goals In The 3rd And Come Back And Beat The Hurricanes.

Despite trailing 2-0 heading into the 3rd, the B's exploded with 4 goals in the final frame to take Game 4 from the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes. An absolutely electric third period with goals from Jake DeBrusk, Brad Marchand and Connor Clifton. Fuck, did that comeback win feel good. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT.

Carolina opened the scoring midway through the first, this shot from Justin Williams somehow slips through and beats Halak. 1-0 Carolina. Soft goal, I think Jaro definitely should've had this.

Carolina extended their lead with 7:52 left in the 2nd, Jordan Martinook buried one after a stretch pass. 2-0 Carolina after 2.

With 12:34 to go in the 3rd Jake DeBrusk FINALLY got the Bruins on the board. SOARING THROUGH THE AIR! (Idk what Reimer was doing, went out for a god damn adventure.) 2-1 Carolina.

Charlie McAvoy lowered the boom on Jordan Staal. One of the most beautiful hits I've seen him lay. My goodness. (Staal would not return).

Seconds later, Connor Clifton fired an absolute snipe to tie things up 2-2. TALK ABOUT ADRENALINE.

Brad Marchand gave the B's their first lead of the game by beating James Reimer five hole all alone. Sweet, sweet hands. 3-2 B's.

'TIS THE SZN! Jake DeBrusk scored his 2nd of the night to make it 4-2 Bruins, a great passing sequence from Krejci and Kase. 4-2 Bruins.

The Canes made it a 1 goal game with the goalie pulled (1:27 remaining) but couldn't convert another. B's with FOUR GOALS IN THE THIRD RALLY TO TAKE GAME 4. (ts and ps if you had puck line).

News, notes and quotes:

- 3rd straight game without David Pastrnak. Bruce Cassidy said this morning he was 50/50 to go. Fingers crossed he's available on Wednesday afternoon.

- Jake DeBrusk has arrived. He was all flash no finish the first 3 games but boy did he deliver in a big third period tonight. 2 big goals. That's gotta do WONDERS for his confidence going forward. We all know he's a streaky player but when he's on, he's on. Fuckin' right JD.

- An absolutely BOOMING hit on Jordan Staal from Charlie McAvoy, fuck was that something.

- We saw Charlie Coyle play a ton with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron, still think a Jack Studnicka or someone else would bode better with them. I think Coyle is too important to the 3rd line. I think Anders Bjork is still fighting it, but he's due to bounce back here soon.

- Brad Marchand has felt it all series long and that go ahead goal in the 3rd was gorgeous. Unbelievable pass too from Torey Krug who fed him off the boards to let Marchand go in all alone.

- Connor Clifton has certainly cemented his spot in the lineup. Absolute snipe to tie the game, blew up a guy like 10 seconds earlier after he dumped in the puck. (Goal and an assist). He's played physical, certainly can't complain about his return to the lineup.

- Ondrej Kase with a 2 point night (both assists). That 2nd line has been dynamite this series and now (finally JD comes through with some goals).

- No quit in this team, they had chances all night and finallllllly flipped the ice in the 3rd. Carolina didn't register a shot until late in the 3rd, they ran out of juice. We've been waiting for the B's offense to really come alive and hopefully this has just opened the flood gates. Three goals in 4:14, Four goal over a span of 7:09.

- Jaro Halak with a tough game. Thought he could've had the first 2 goals the Canes scored. Didn't look comfortable but the B's offense came alive and got the job done. On the flip side, James Reimer got the call in net. CAR has gone Mrazek, Reimer, Mrazek, Reimer so you can only imagine Mrazek will start Wednesday night.
