Ernie Johnson Gave His Sports Emmy To Stuart Scott's Daughters And It Was Awesome

Welp.  That’s one way to start off a Wednesday.  Emotions through the roof.  Sorry if you’re crying at your desk.  If you are, send your boss the video and he or she will understand.  Just an awesome gesture by Ernie Johnson who, by all accounts, is one of the best dudes in sports.  He’s obviously great on TV but it’s nice to know he’s great off TV too.  Having battled cancer himself and being a friend of Stuart’s the whole thing was perfect.  And then also with Shelley Smith also in the audience as well.  It was interesting to hear Scott’s daughter say that they don’t understand the magnitude of it and that Stuart was just their Dad.  That’s weird to think about but it’s absolutely true.  Stuart Scott was a big part of our lives through SportsCenter long before these girls were old enough to realize who he was or what he was other than just their father. Ernie giving them the award hopefully better helps them understand the effect their Dad had on the sports world. Awesome job by everybody involved.
