CJ McCollum Gives Pardon My Take the Details of His Beef With Skip Bayless

To start off another week (and month) on Pardon My Take, Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter welcomed on Blazers guard CJ McCollum. The recurring guest hopped on the show LIVE from the NBA bubble, what it's like to be on the court, slim Melo, and more. The guys also got into it on the one and only Skip Bayless. Here is how that went down...

Mr. Cat: You also had a beef... You called Skip Bayless, "Scrap Bayless." That's good. That's a good burn. Why did you call him Scrap Bayless?

CJ McCollum: They tried to get me to come on their show, man. They're just trying get me to boost their ratings. I told them no, but you're welcome to come on my podcast.

Mr. Cat: Yeah!

Mr. Commenter: I like that, power shifting.

Mr. Cat: You tweeted, "1.4 PPG." That's the worst part about Skip Bayless, is the fact that anyone found out that he averaged 1.4 points per game [in high school]. Because when he just bashes people non-stop, you can just throw it back in his face.

CJ McCollum: How do I argue with you? You averaged 1.4 points per game and you couldn't make varsity.

Mr. Commenter: You know how hard it is to average 1.4 PPG?

Mr. Cat: Skip probably wishes he never played basketball! That would be way better.

CJ McCollum: That means you don't make one layup a game.

Mr. Commenter: Yeah, I would rather average zero points per game.

Mr. Cat: No, you'd rather not play. Skip Bayless, in his heart of hearts, is like, "I wish I did not play junior varsity basketball," because it would be better to not have played, than to have 1.4 PPG.

CJ McCollum: He would have been better off doing the box scores.

Mr. Cat: Yes! Just being a journalist through and through.

CJ McCollum: He should have been wiping the sweat off the floors with a towel.

Skip you are the man! Love the new show on FS1!
