Scary scene but good to see that Archie Bradley is in good spirits. If you take a line shot to the face and the worst part of the injury is you look like you tried to eat a hornet’s nest then I’d say you made out pretty OK. I did notice a pretty concerning lack of medical knowledge from the training staff though. Just ran right out to the mound without even grabbing a raw steak from the fridge first. Have they not seen The Sandlot? Are they completely unaware how to treat baseball injuries? I’m glad Archie is OK but that’s despite the training staff, not because of it. If they had some real MDs he probably would’ve shaken it off and pitched the rest of the game.
