The Husband and Son Of Judge Esther Salas — Who Was Assigned To A Jeffrey Epstein-Deustche Bank Case Four Days Ago — Both Shot At Family Home By Intruder Dressed As Delivery Man

(CNN)--Both the US Marshals and FBI are investigating the shooting. Initial reports from law enforcement said Daniel Anderl opened the door with his father right behind him. The door opened to a hail of gunfire and the gunman fled, a law enforcement source told CNN.

"We are looking for one subject," the FBI said in a statement. "We are working closely with our state and local partners and will provide additional updates when available."

The gunman appeared to be wearing a FedEx uniform, a law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the investigation told CNN.

Officials in Newark have urged anyone with information to call FBI Newark at 973-792-3001

Absolutely tragic story breaking overnight. The 20 year-old son of Judge Esther Salas was shot through the heart when he answered the door after seeing a man in a FedEx uniform. RIP to Daniel Anderl.

The FBI has yet to establish a motive for the attack.

This doesn't seem like a random act of violence. A man dressed in FedEx uniform to get people inside to open the door and then the gunman opens fire. It's possible that Judge Salas has many people who don't like her. She sentenced the head of the Newark's most violent street gang to 45 years in prison in 2018. She is currently presiding over the Deustche Bank case as it pertains to Epstein

Salas has presided over an ongoing lawsuit brought by Deutsche Bank investors who claim the company made false and misleading statements about its anti-money laundering policies and failed to monitor “high-risk” customers including convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

I don't know how investors suing a big bank about money laundering practices and their inability to monitor customers like Epstein can be turned into a home invasion+murder, and nobody is making that connection officially, but this story isn't going viral without the Epstein angle. That's the reality of the world right now. If anyone, even tangentially, is connected to Epstein and befalls some sort of horrible tragedy the internet is going to run wild, making connections, reddit threads, and theories. Hopefully the authorities find this guy on like a doorbell cam and bring him to proper justice and further questioning. Absolutely tragic story and one that people need to know about.
