Duggs Defeats Vols, Chips: Toledo Moves to 9-0 After Another Evening Sweep

Duggs is hot. Duggs is rolling. And Duggs is now 9-0.

Another Duggleheader sweep is in the books for the Toledo Rockets after a pair of impressive wins over Tennessee and Central Michigan. After downing the Volunteers in his return to Knoxville, the BCS system actually wasn't impressed, dropping the Rockets to No. 3. But after a road conference win over the Chippewas of Central Michigan, Coach Duggs moved back up to the No. 2 spot, only sitting behind the Texas Longhorns. Let's break down how each game developed.

Game 1: Toledo 28, Tennessee 21 - In an emotional return to Neyland Stadium, Coach Duggs stood on the opposite sideline to face the Volunteers.

Toledo opened up a 14-0 lead, and just as Tennessee had some momentum, QB Blake Bortles threw a brutal pick in the end zone.

In the end, the Duggs D did just enough to shut down stars Rico Burgerton and Tiny Scoops.

Game 2: Toledo 35, Central Michigan 21 - Not much else needs to be said about this game other than one name: Bam Bam Calloway.

Coach Duggs also had some fun with the chat...

And then rolled his way to victory on the road...

Just like that, there are only three games left in the regular season. Tomorrow night, it's another MAC battle with Eastern Michigan. Kickoff is scheduled for around 8 PM ET. We'll see you then.
