Wake Up With Andres Galarraga Hitting A Ball Almost A Literal Mile

One of the more under appreciated sluggers of the last 30 years, Andres Galarraga, the original Big Cat, used to hit absolute no doubt tanks. Like this one vs the Marlins. I'm not exaggerating when I say this ball was hit 3/4 of the way up the upper deck in the Dolphins old park. A god damn football field almost couldn't contain Galarraga. I'd love to see the statcast on this bomb and see a distance if it wouldn't have been rudely interrupted by the upper deck. Thing got out in a hurry, it legit was still going up when it landed. The guy beat cancer and still played in the bigs, thats huge. I always loved him for that reason, but the bombs was another reason. You'd be hard pressed to find a farther ball hit to left field than this one. Still can't believe how far this bomb went. It's also noteworthy because this wasn't a ball hit in Colorado. Can't use the altitude as the excuse for a ball going nearly 600 feet.
