Song Swap - The Beatles vs Led Zeppelin

My brother hit me with this hypothetical the other night, and I thought it'd make for a decent blog subject, so here we are. The concept is simple....

If you could take one Beatles song and have Led Zeppelin record it, and then take one Zeppelin song and have The Beatles record it, which songs would you choose?

Personally, I feel like 'Helter Skelter' is the easy choice outta the Beatles' catalogue to have Zeppelin rip thru....

I could reeeeaaally picture Robert Plant's vocals on that (followed by a bukkake of triplets from Bonzo) in my head. Feels too obvious NOT to choose. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones would tear that shit up too, make no mistake about it!

On the flip side, I'd wanna hear what a Lennon-sung version of 'Misty Mountain Hop' would sound like....

Some other examples: Marc Roberge of the hit band O.A.R. says he'd wanna hear a Beatles version of 'Thank You' and a Led Zeppelin version of 'A Hard Day's Night' in exchange. My brother said he'd have Zeppelin do 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and The Beatles do 'Black Dog' (with Paul on vocals). There's a ton out there to think about!

Ultimately, we'll obviously never got to hear any of these covers, but it's a fun hypothetical to ponder about, so I throw the question to you….
