People Are STILL Gluing Hats Onto Pigeons In Las Vegas, This Time It's MAGA Hats
LAS VEGAS — Pigeons with tiny Make American Great Again hats glued to their heads were released in downtown Las Vegas this week in what appears to be a sarcastic statement of loyalty to President Donald Trump and a mock protest of Nevada's coming Democratic presidential caucuses.
A group calling itself P.U.T.I.N., Pigeons United To Interfere Now, claimed responsibility for the stunt. The pigeons were set loose Tuesday, according to the group.
NBC affiliate KSNV spotted at least one of the pigeons still in a hat on a downtown street Wednesday afternoon.
"P.U.T.I.N. have used their pigeons to launch a one of a kind aerial protest piece in response to the arrival of the 2020 Democratic Presidential hopefuls," according to a group statement. "The release date was also coordinated to serve as a gesture of support and loyalty to President Trump."
So back in December, I blogged about similar pigeons in Las Vegas. However, they were simply wearing cowboy hats then. I thought it was all so innocent. Maybe someone had just simply gotten stoned or something and thought it would be funny to put lil cowboy hats on the birds. I, at least, found it funny and you know, quite frankly, it made them look 100x cooler. The cowboy hat pigeons ran the show and they were far superior to your run-of-the-mill normal pigeon.
Little would I know, this would be some plot to spread political propaganda. Disgusting. Can I just have one fucking thing that doesn't involve politics what-so-ever? Here I was, sitting like a fucking dummy thinking that this was all just some playful entertainment. But nooooooo. I mean, for fuck sakes it's like everyone is trying to manipulate everyone to their sides! Even the pigeons!
I know I'm relatively new to all this voting stuff but like, can I just have something. Something that'll make me chuckle without it being politically charged or forces me to choose sides. I'm not a very decisive person nor am I very political but this all just seems like so much.
And obviously, the Pigeons United To Interfere Now, aka P.U.T.I.N. (Ha! Politics!) group are the same people behind the cowboy hats. No chance there are two different groups of people just gluing hats to animal heads. No, this is clearly the work of people who have done it before.
I won't lie though, I got a good chuckle out of this video. Not because of the pigeon wearing a MAGA hat but because it doesn't look like a MAGA hat at all. It looks like he's wearing a fucking fez. I doubt all the hats even say MAGA on them. Do you know hard it is to put lettering on hats that small? No, neither do I but it seems really fucking hard.
The biggest shock here is that PETA hasn't gotten involved yet. I mean, Barstool's very own Dan Katz downs a couple of hot dogs and gets a bucket of fake blood dumped on him. Meanwhile, there are some fucking lunatics in Vegas just gluing pigeons! If you're gonna protect the animals, can you at least be a little fucking consistent guys? Jeez.
I just want to live in a world where I can see a pigeon wearing a hat and just simply laugh. Sadly, people turn everything so political and ruin all the fun and make me question whether something is funny or not. Just… sad.
