Shaun Weiss, AKA Goldberg From The Mighty Ducks, Arrested Again

Shaun Weiss, who starred as hockey goalie Greg Goldberg in "The Mighty Ducks" movies, has been arrested and charged by police for burglary and for being under the influence of methamphetamine.

Weiss, 41, was arrested by Marysville, California, police after he was discovered in a car parked within a local resident's garage at about 7 a.m Sunday morning, according to a release posted on the police department's Facebook page.

The homeowner in the small Northern California city outside of Sacramento had alerted police to "an unknown male inside his garage that did not belong there."

Back to back days with WILD mugshots from iconic 90s goaltenders. Yesterday it was Eddie Belfour, today it's Goldberg. The Mighty Ducks can't stay out of the news with this new series launching on Disney+. Unfortunately this is for the wrong reasons. This story bums me out. Shaun Weiss clearly has some real issues. This isn't his first arrest or viral mugshot. It's kind of jarring to see him all strung out on meth and arrested since he was one of the most lovable movie characters in the 1990s.

You watch certain movies like that as a hockey player and a kid roughly the same age as them when they came out and the characters feel like your old friends in a way. Nostalgia is a powerful thing and seeing the actor who played Goldberg like this is extremely sad. Hopefully he gets some help.

Once a year #BellLetsTalk becomes a viral hashtag in an effort to raise both money and awareness for mental health issues. This feels like as good of a time as ever to bring this to light. Hopefully Shaun Weiss can get the professional and emotional support he needs to battle whatever demons are ailing him. BellLetsTalk shines a light on something that has caused too much darkness.
