A Bunch Of Lakers Fans Started Throwing Balled Up Pieces Of Paper Into A Trash Can While Yelling "KOBE" Outside Of The Staples Center Last Night

There has been a lot of Kobe stuff the last few days that has torn us apart. The reactions of people that knew him after finding out he passed, the stories of people that interacted with him, and pretty much every single thing involving his family. I had a hard time rewatching his final game last night just because every time they showed his wife and daughter in the crowd, it felt like someone was turning a knife inside of me.

But this video brought a little bit of happiness into the pit of my soul that has felt hollow since Sunday afternoon. Ernie Banks once said the measure of a man is in the lives he's touched. Between winning 5 titles, being the face of the Lakers as well as the NBA for years, inspiring people to outwork the competition because of his savage work ethic, and being an awesome dad, Kobe Bean Bryant's reach goes beyond anything I could ever imagine. But the thing that somehow catapults him to yet another level is being the name people say when they are getting buckets in class or work or wherever there is a garbage can all over the world. People that don't even know who Kobe Bryant is halfway around the world have said "KOBE" while throwing something away just because it flows so seamlessly and is so ingrained in life. True legend stuff.

Also Rashida Jones being the girl in the Chappelle Show skit that made that Kobe call infamous is an all-time fun fact.
