Matthew Tkachuk Gets Rag-Dolled And Called A Pussy By Zac Kassian

Ooooo BABY! The Battle Of Alberta has been heated up to a billion. This was a MONSTER game. Whoever won would sit in first place in the Pacific Division. Bad blood all the way around and Kassian lost his god damn mind.

Now, it feels like basically everyone in the NHL hates Matthew Tkachuk at this point. Not me.  I fucking love the kid. Mouthy. Plays hard. Scores. Answers the bell. He’s a throw back. Hockey is at it’s best when there’s the threat of overt violence. Think back to Detroit Colorado in the 90s or Hawks-Canucks. Those were blood feuds. We haven’t had a good one in a while and I hope this continues to boil over.

First hit Tkachuk threw looked pretty clean to me. I can’t see the puck the second time Kassian gets smoked so I won’t say. Maybe it was late. Maybe Kassian was tired of getting knocked on his ass. Either way, Tkachuk is right… he shouldn’t fight a plug BUT…I hope he does next time. I want 7 games of this in the playoffs. Let’s go.
