Police Find Meth In Meth Head's Secret Box Labeled "Dope"

It would be an understatement to say that some of the folks who get arrested for drugs in our fair state are dumber than a box of hair.  Candyce Neel makes most of those folks look like rocket surgeons.

The 41 year-old West Monroe woman was busted for felony drug possession when authorities showed up to her house and found her methamphetamine stash cleverly  hidden in a box labeled "DOPE."  Perhaps she was trying to employ reverse psychology?  If so, it clearly didn't work.

An unidentified complainant reported finding the box and called police right away.  When authorities arrived on Saturday, they found the box in question - but no Neel.  She was arrested later that night after being found hiding behind the residence.

According to the report from The Smoking Gun, Neel is behind bars where she is being held on $3000 bond.

Just an absolute brainiac at work here. Hiding dope in a box labeled "dope". Genius. Surely no one will ever find it there. It seems like this is a case of hiding something in plain sight. Our good friend Candyce here could never get caught with such a foolproof plan.

Wait? Somebody found it? They OPENED it?!? Methamphetamine?!? They called the Police?!?!? What is going on here! Candyce! How could you? I, for one, would look at that box and probably think "that's a sweet box to hold your colored pencils or various 'dope' knick-knacks that have no other home". Now she's being held on a $3,000 bond for the whole ordeal. Not great for Candyce.

I like to think it was like the box that Jessie Pinkman made in Breaking Bad but with 'dope' carved into the top. One of my personal favorite monologues from the entire show.

sidenote- did anyone else doubt that Jessie was able to trade a box he made in woodshop class for an ounce of weed. That's a little preposterous no? Even for TV.
