Shhhh... A Quiet Place 2 Trailer Is Here
That's a pretty good trailer!
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path. (via DEADLINE)
I love the part in the trailer at the end that sets up the idea that the surviving humans will also serve as villains in the sequel. Re-hashing the last movie would probably be an okay movie, but I am very intrigued by developing the world even further. It also seems obvious that people would love to see more of the "how we got here" flashbacks teased in the trailer.
Spoiler alert... obviously John Krasinski's character won't be back (he is still directing and writing the movie), but they've added some studs to the cast...
Typically if Mr. Peaky Blinders himself Cillian Murphy stars in your movie or show, it's likely going to be pretty damn good. I also love the addition of Djimon Hounsou, who I am pretty sure just stars in every movie at this point.
'A Quiet Place' was a pretty damn good movie and it continued the trend of creative infusion into the horror/thriller genre by comedic actors. I was a little skeptical when the sequel was announced because, again, a re-hash just sounded like it had the potential to be mediocre, but this teaser has set up a premise I am fully on board to see play out.
What did you think of the first teaser for 'A Quiet Place: Part II'?
