17-Year-Old Billie Eilish Is Getting Paid $25 Million For An Apple TV Documentary Following The Release Of Her Album

Source - Billie Eilish​’s big 2019 is culminating with an Apple TV+ documentary that comes with a $25 million paycheck, according to multiple sources.

The film, which has already been shot, was produced in collaboration with Eilish’s label, Interscope Records, for a budget that one source pegs at between $1 million and $2 million. It is expected to follow the 17-year-old singer-songwriter following the release of her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

The doc, which was shopped to multiple distributors, comes as Eilish, who was named Apple Music’s artist of the year, is set to headline the streaming service’s first-ever Apple Music Awards on Dec. 4 from the Steve Jobs Theater. The project will be available through entertainment platform TV+ instead of Apple Music, which has previously released documentary projects like Taylor Swift’s The 1989 World Tour (Live) and Ed Sheeran’s Songwriter. 

It would be really easy for me to take this story and make the Billie stans upset. I would say something like, “Her success is the direct result of a perfectly executed marketing plan by Interscope records combined with the four mega-agents representing her at Paradigm Talent Agency.” But I won’t do that because that’s the old me. That’s the guy who would’ve went in on the fact that without her carefully chosen aesthetic, she may not have reached the astronomical levels of success that she has over the past year. But again, that’s the old me.

The new me is here to say congratulations to Billie. You’re now set for life. $25 MILLION for a documentary following you around after the release of your album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Which was fantastic by the way. It’s not the equivalent to the second coming of Christ like her fans will say, but it was definitely good. What’s even better are her live performances that Nate wrote about the other day.
