BIG game in the Sun Belt tonight. This one is pretty much for the winner of the Sun Belt East division. The implications are even bigger for Appalachian State, who has a serious chance to make it to an NY6 bowl if they go undefeated this year. 

No part of me thinks App State will lose this game tonight, but I do think Georgia Southern will keep it close. Last year, the Mountaineers went to Statesboro and lost 34-14 to Georgia Southern. That sets up a revenge spot for App State tonight, but this Georgia Southern team is nothing to scoff at. They are 2-1 in Sun Belt competition and have won three straight games. They gave Minnesota their best game they've had all season in September, only losing by 3 points. 

Georgia Southern is the perfect team to keep the game close due to their option-based offense. They'll keep the clock running. 14.5 points is a lot to cover in a 42-point total game. 

We're also looking at a game with awful weather. 15-25 MPH winds with 50 MPH gusts! You know who doesn't rely on throwing the ball? Georgia Southern. The temperature will also dip into the 30s.
