Take A Look At What Went Into Creating The Largest Championship Ring In NBA History

As we all saw on Tuesday when the Raptors unveiled their first ever championship ring, they clearly knocked it out of the park. It's the largest ring in NBA history and consists of the biggest single diamond on any ring ever, 74 diamonds on the face, 16 rubies on the side and 640 diamonds in total as well as the heaviest diamond weight (14 carats) ever. The thing is an absolute beast. So of course it only made sense that the Raptors put out a behind the scenes look at the ring on their internet series Open Gym and it's pretty damn cool seeing everything that went into it

While the diamonds and the size are huge, it's also really cool that each one had a unique message inside. After the internet did some research (thank you u/allen84 on Reddit) here were the confirmed inscriptions from everyone

Fred VanVleet: Bet on yourself (his motto)

Jeremy Lin: GAL 6 9 (which I guess is a Bible verse or something)

Jodie Meeks: Matthew 7 7 (which is a Bible verse too)

Malcolm Miller: RSJRRM (not sure)

Chris Boucher: GNSL (grind now shine later)

OG Anunoby: OGUGUA SR (his Dad)

Pascal Siakam: #DOINGITFORYOU (his father)

Patrick McCaw: 3x Champ (what a flex)

Jordan Loyd: ALLDAI

Marc Gasol: GRIT&GRIND (damn, that gets ya right in the feels. Nice tribute to MEM who he definitely thought he would retire with)

Serge Ibaka: AFRICA SIHOUETTE

Eric Moreland: DREAM BIG

Kyle Lowry: KAKL #7 GS M (family)

Norm Powell: RE UTG (understand the grind, his motto)

Danny Green: 2x Champ

Kawhi Leonard: HAND HEART & FINGER IMAGES

Apparently they began the design of these rings before beating GS which is a move I also respect. I'm a big fan of these behind the scenes looks at championship rings, the Warriors ones were also really interesting

As was the Cavs one back in 2016

You know whoever wins it this year is going to outdo what the Raptors just did for theirs, and if it just so happens to be the Clippers who would be winning their first title ever I can't even comprehend what Steve Ballmer would spend/create for that. He might go nuts and have the first ever two finger ring or something wild.
