Devastating News: Netflix Says They Are Going To Crack Down On Password Sharing

Netflix has announced it is seeking to limit password sharing. When users share passwords, they are essentially sharing a single Netflix account, which naturally circumvents Netflix’s business model, according to which each household needs to have its own account.

Noooooo!!!! What a sad day for the American people. Someone better call the the Internet and Cable Association. If they don't answer, call the White House. Because this should be illegal. Netflix has established that they do not give a about password sharing. And once you establish that, there's no going back. I believe the legal term for that is "a card laid is a card played".

Look, I'm 26 years old with a job. Could I afford the $16 per month for Netflix? Of course. But my friends and I have all been on our buddy's parents account for as long as I can remember. It's not about the money right now. It's about the principal of the matter. You can't start charging me after 8 years. It's called the GRANDFATHER CLAUSE.

I'll take this to court. And I'm sure the other 60 million paid users in the United States will follow my lead. Because honestly, I lied to you earlier. This most definitely is about the money. There's so many things that I "split" with my friends. Everyone has their own service they're in charge of, and then everyone else just mooches. And I love all of the monthly services, but there's no way in hell I'm paying for all of them myself. And honestly, I've been on the wrong end of this too many times for this to start happening with Netflix. I remember when the ESPN account I chipped in for in college with 5 other dudes got shut down because there were "78 different active users" one day. That spread QUICK. Because literally everyone shares passwords.

According to the research company Magid, 35 per cent of millennials share their passwords for streaming services, compared to 19 per cent of Generation Xers and 13 per cent of Baby Boomers.

Only 35%? What do they other 65% do??? Look, there's two types of people in this world. People that share subscription services, and people that lie and say they don't. There is absolutely no reason to pay full price for every single little monthly subscription. Except Barstool Gold.  Everyone get their own membership to that.
