Chicago's Superintendent of Police Calls For An Internal Investigation... On Himself

(SOURCE)

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson was released from the hospital early Friday after officials say he was examined by medical personnel Thursday after feeling lightheaded while driving near his South Side home.

According to a press release issued by the department, Johnson was driving at approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday when he began to feel lightheaded. Johnson pulled his vehicle over and parked.

Authorities said Friday that Johnson was treated from high blood pressure and released from the hospital around 4 a.m. Friday.

After the incident, Johnson initiated a review of the event, saying that he wanted to push for “transparency” in the eyes of the public.

“Whether you are a police officer or a superintendent, all officers ought to be held to the highest standard,” the department quoted Johnson as saying.

This story came out last week.  Thought to myself “okay here we go again” because our city’s officials fuck just about everything up if given the chance.  And I know a good fuckup.

Option 1: This took place in Chicago.  Chicago is obviously known for being corrupt and morally bankrupt with respect to the city’s politicians and police.  That the whole “passing out at 12:30am in a running car on the side of the road” actually went like this:

“Oh fuck, I got way too drunk and passed out with my car running.  Let’s investigate myself with other crooked cops and cover the whole thing up so I don’t get in any trouble.  Control the message, control the masses.” – Superintendent Eddie Johnson, maybe.

Looks like something someone who’s guilty AF of breaking the law would do.  Just add it to the laundry list of our cops and politicians fucking up and fucking up badly.  But hopefully not.

Option 2: Give him props for being transparent.  He’s investigating himself!  Nobody who’s innocent and in their right would ever have themself investigated for a crime right?  RIGHT?  Well, not unless he’s pulling a number 1.

Again, choice #1 would be easy to make.  But Eddie Johnson has become a rockstar in Chicago over the last few months.  He ROASTED Jussie Smollett back in the winter when that whole mess went down.

To me, he seemed like a good man amongst at least some bad people.  Call me a glass half full guy, call me an idiot for trusting a Chicago official, call me naive… I get it.  But right away I went with option #2.  Superintendent Johnson was basically DA Harvey Dent before his face melted off.  The hero Chicago deserves.

But ho hum…

Trying my hardest not to make any knee jerk reactions here, but for the city’s Superintendent of Police to be drinking and driving…. not a good look.  Please be under .08, PLEASE
