Odell Making Sure Aqib Talib Knew He Wasn't Wearing A Chain During SNF Is Simply The Smartest Thing One Can Do
This is it. This is the sign that every Odell fan and Browns fan wants to see. Odell has grown up. Don’t get me wrong, it has nothing to do with the fact that he’s not wearing jewelry during game – but it’s the fact that he’s not wearing a chain around Aqib Talib. You know what happens when someone does that:
It doesn’t matter what you do. If you wear a chain around Talib he will snatch that shit. That’s why I think this is the mature decision from Odell. He’s making sure that Talib won’t even attempt to reach around his neck for that chain. Just smart.
What I want to know is how many guys come up and do this? Is there a level you have to be from a WR standpoint in order to think Talib will steal your chain? Like Crabtree was a solid WR but not a star (except at Texas Tech. TT Crabtree was flat out silly). This is why Coley lists Talib snatching Crabtree’s chain as a top-5 play in NFL history.
What a reputation for Talib. Just have WR’s shaking in their boots to wear a chain anywhere within 100 yards of him. Always gotta be on the lookout for his hands. You know Crabtree wakes up shaking thinking Talib is lurking to grab the chain. I will never not laugh at the image of Crabtree taping his chain.
