"I'm Done": Belichick Walks Out On Today's Press Conference After 'Too Many Antonio Brown Questions'

Belichick after fielding several Antonio Brown questions:

Yeah, I think I’ve already addressed this so we’re gonna get ready for the Jets here. Happy answering football questions but the rest of it, I’m done with the rest of it.

::weird silence in the room::

Journalist who was maybe looking down at his phone and missed that last part:

But is there ever a point where some off-field stuff is…enough is enough? Too much?

Belichick, who is done now and has had enough of those questions:

I’m done. I’m done. Yeah, we had enough of those [questions]. Thank you.

::Belichick walks out of press conference::

Personally, Bill Belichick has always reminded me of your one friend’s perpetually grumpy dads who only comes out from whatever he’s doing in the garage to yell at you all for some small domestic infraction, and he’s got a way about him that shuts you up & makes your b-hole pucker for a sec.

That’s right, he can hear you guys stomping around upstairs and for the last time he’d like you to cut it out, goddamnit. Fall is fast approaching in New England and he’s got a leaf blower to fix.

So I don’t envy any journalists at his press conferences who have to ask the tough questions, and I do think questions about Antonio Brown are very much worth asking.

I am curious to know how much the Patriots knew about the accusations that have surfaced, and if they were 100% certain of what they were getting into, and even if so if they had any fucks to give about it. My guess would be no. (However, it was reported that Kraft said he would not have agreed to bring Brown on if the team had known about the rape accusations.)

If they did fully know what they were getting into.. play stupid games, win stupid prizes.. like frustrating press conferences. Journalists are going to be asking you these questions and you have to know that & deal with it.

On the other hand, having the same questions asked over and over and over in only slightly different ways doesn’t really accomplish anything or bring out any new answers either, so what else are you supposed to do? Stand there and keep going in circles? Not really productive for anyone.

Either way, when the journalists also left the press conference I hope they shut the door all the way. We’re not trying to heat the whole neighborhood here, people.
