Two Amish Men Are On The Run From The Police (And Probably Their Families) For Chugging Mich Ultras And Blaring Music In Their Horse-Drawn Buggy

Fox News - Deputies in Ohio pulled over two Amish men over the weekend who they said had decked out their horse-drawn buggy with a massive stereo system and were throwing back beers. Deputies with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office stopped the buggy around 1:00 a.m. Sunday. That's when they reportedly found a 12-pack of Michelob Ultra on top of the vehicle with several open bottles inside. The buggy was also equipped with a rocking stereo system.

….what's the crime here? Correct me if I'm wrong but the HORSE was the one driving that buggy. These two weren't doing anything different than what most of America does in the back of an Uber on a Saturday night: drink on their way to the party. If you want to charge the horse for allowing them to drink in the back, so be it. But in my eyes, these two just wanted to have a good time. Rumspringa!

Are the police really going to charge them here? Have these two not faced enough cruel and unusual punishment during their upbringing? I mean, could you imagine how brutal it would be to be an Amish person in today's day and age? And I would never say that about a specific subgroup of people because it would politically incorrect and intolerant, but I know that these Amish people will never get the Barstool App on the one public payphone they walk into town to use, so it's okay. The fact of the matter is that if you were a true and traditional Amish person, you can't use electricity or drink beer. That's like 99% of my life. So yeah, I see why these two wanted to be rebels. They have to catch wind of the real world every once in a while, so it is understandable why they'd want to head out on a Saturday night and knock out a couple Mich Ultras while listening to some ACDC on max volume.

But as soon as they saw the red and blue lights flash, they ran. Literally…

Both men-- who come from a community which largely shuns high technology and alcohol -- bailed out of the buggy so fast that the horse continued pulling the empty coach down the road.

And they have still not been found….

"Maybe there's just that fear of the consequences and that would be a reality check for them, that there are consequences, but I encourage them to come forward and get their buggy and horse," said Dragovich.

This police chief thinks they're just going to walk into the station and turn themselves in…..? Not a chance. Forget the horse and buggy. And forget the stereo system, too.

Only thing I'd come back to get would be the Twisted Teas in the bottom right corner. A horse and buggy is a dime a dozen in Amish Country, but those might be the only Twisted Teas they ever get their hands on.
