I Would Like To Be The First To Congratulate The Atlanta Falcons On Winning The Super Bowl After Their Week 2 Win Over The Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles v Atlanta Falcons

They say that Super Bowls aren’t won in September. But whoever said that for the first time is clearly a fucking idiot because if you take just one look at the Atlanta Falcons social media history, then you will have known that they have officially been declared the Super Bowl LIV Champions. After viciously defeating an Eagles team with most of their roster in the hospital by 4 points in week 2 of the 2019 season, the Atlanta Falcons fired off this tweet.

Now there’s nothing wrong with that tweet. I mean it looks like somebody’s dad just learned how to use photoshop for the first time and designed that graphic. But you have to imagine that the Falcons have had that tweet stored in their drafts since January 13, 2018. Falcons lose to the Eagles in the divisional round after Matt Ryan overthrows Julio Jones, the Eagles go on to win a Super Bowl. No big deal though. Because even though the last game of their season ended with a loss to Philly, at least they got to open up the next year with a wi….oh right. Nevermind. Because the opening game of the 2018 season also ended with an incompletion to Julio against the Eagles. So now they had to hold on to that tweet for another full year. It honestly had to feel amazing to finally get that one out of their drafts. I mean just imagine the poor social media manager having to see that tweet just staring them in the face every time they log on to Twitter [dot] com, hanging there as a constant reminder that they couldn’t get it done. So when Julio finally found the end zone to seal the game in week 2 of the 2019 regular season? Well that right there is worth more than 5 Super Bowls.

And it didn’t just stop there. No no no. You don’t win a week 2 Super Bowl and only celebrate for one night. So the Falcons social media team called up that same dad to see if his free trial of Photoshop was still running soo they could get another graphic to blast out there. The photoshop trial expired but they were able to use some free knockoff software on the worldwide web to come up with this gem a day later.

Wow. Much depth. Very burn.

Do you get it? If you’re not an intellectual then there’s a chance that this one flew right over your head. You see–the original scene from this edit was when Kawhi Leonard’s quadruple doink ended the Sixers’ season in game 7 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Semifinals. And just like Kawhi Leonard ending a team’s season in heroic fashion in game 7 of the ECSF, Julio Jones scored a touchdown against the Eagles in week 2.

So yeah. Again, I’d just like to be the first to congratulate the Atlanta Falcons on their Super Bowl victory this past weekend. Enjoy it, ATL. You guys deserve this parade more than anybody.

Sidenote: Come at the king, you best not miss.
