Lamar Odom Claims He Was Ready To Fight Mark Cuban On The Bench After He Kicked Him And Called Him A 'Motherfucker' But Vince Carter Stopped It

[Source] – Cuban extended his right foot and kicked my shin. “Come on, motherf*cker!” he shouted.

I was stunned. This wasn’t a tap. I felt it. That was the last straw. It was painfully clear he did not respect me as a man. I felt the adrenaline rush through my body. In an instant I was transported back to Linden Boulevard, where the slightest act of disrespect could be fatal. As I sprang up, Vince Carter, who was sitting next to me, grabbed my arm tightly and leaned in.

“LO, chill out,” Vince calmly said. “Don’t do it. It’s not worth it.”

This is from Odom’s biography which is about to come out and it may be a must-read. There are so many ridiculous stories that have come out during his media tour and talking about it that we’re starting to reach a territory where I believe any Lamar Odom story. I mean look at these:

Odom just spent a year (2011-12) with the Mavericks and I think it’s pretty clear why. He hated Mark Cuban and vice versa. Now obviously there hasn’t been a response yet by the Mavericks or Cuban, which I’m curious to see how they respond to something like this.

But to me the real story here is Vince Carter. What can’t this guy do? Be the best dunker of all time? Got it. Never leave the NBA? In the middle of that. Stop a fight from an owner and a crazy Lamar Odom? Put that man in the Hall of Fame based on that alone.

But now I gotta start thinking. If Odom and Cuban brawled on the sidelines where does that fall in crazy stories? I think it’s right behind the Malice at the Palace. I don’t know if that will ever be topped. But imagine a game stopping because Cuban and Odom are just throwing hands by the bench.
