This Week's CTA MVP: Guy Walking Around As Jesus
Right off the bat, you have to respect his commitment of carrying the cross. He knew he would have been making snapchat debuts with or without it but he still chose to go the extra mile. Hey I mean if you’re gonna dress like Him for a night why not go all out. Now, I don’t know if something weird is going on here or if nothing’s going on at all. Anywhere else this is an IG story in the making, but this is pretty standard behavior for Clark/Lake on a weekday night. Probably the 3rd Jesus in full Good Friday gear that day.
We’d all like to think our guy here is coming from an audition or costume party in late August, but given the characters in this city of ours it’s natural to assume this is probably a man who dresses up as Christ on the side and rides the Blue Line. To each his own. As long as we’re on topic, is this something that gets you VIP in heaven or sends you to Hell? Where is the line between acting in his image and just mocking when it comes to dressing up as Jesus? Definitely something to think about next time.
I’m not asking anyone to take a picture of the next weird cat they come across on the CTA and send it to me or Barstool Chi so I can get extra internship points, but that’s only because I’d get in trouble for telling you to do that. Pictures of homeless people are old news and morals start getting involved a bit so let’s stay away from that if we can, but anyone dressed to the 9s like fake Jesus (who was just begging for people to take his picture anyway) is fair game. I don’t want to feel bad when a crazy person punches you and your phone so again I’m not telling you to do this.
