Nathan Fielder’s New HBO Show Is Going To Be Absolutely Incredible
Nathan Fielder has signed a one year overall deal at HBO, Variety has learned exclusively.
Under the deal, Fielder will serve as executive producer on”How To…With John Wilson,” which has been ordered to series at HBO, and an untitled comedy pilot in which Fielder will star as well as write and direct.
“How To…With John Wilson” is a half-hour, first person documentary series hosted by an anxious New Yorker (Wilson) who attempts to give everyday advice while dealing with his own personal issues. Acting as both cameraman and narrator, he covertly documents the lives of fellow New Yorkers in a comic odyssey of self-discovery, inevitably making the audience comfortable with the awkward contradictions of modern life.
Plot details on Fielder’s comedy pilot are being kept under wraps. Reinking will also executive produce the untitled project along with Christie Smith and Dan McManus for Rise Management.
Huge news today as Nathan Fielder has signed a deal with HBO. I personally think he’s one of the funniest guys in comedy right now. He’s so perfectly awkward on his hit show ‘Nathan For You’ and the ideas are incredible. I first discovered him during college and the show instantly became part of our routine. We’d come back from the bars, get high, and then throw on an episode. Perfect end to the night.
He’s a genius in every sense of the word. Not enough people know about him though, but hopefully he’s going to get his big exposure with this HBO deal. He’ll be executive producing this “How To…With John Wilson” show and starring in his own show that he’ll also write and direct. I’m sure the How To show will be good…

but I cannot wait for his own show. That will be must watch as far as I’m concerned. There’s no details about it yet, but I have zero doubts it’ll be nothing short of spectacular.
If you haven’t see Nathan For You here are some of the best clips. The Price-Match episode with Best Buy is absolutely fantastic.
