Jared Leto May Be Cast As A Serial Killer Alongside 2 Big Actors

'Dallas Buyers Club' Premiere And Vanity Fair Award - The 8th Rome Film Festival

(Deadline) “Jared Leto is in talks to join the cast of Warner Bros’ Little Things, a cop thriller starring fellow Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Rami Malek, Deadline has confirmed. John Lee Hancock is directing his script.

Washington is playing Deke, a burned-out Kern County sheriff who teams with an LA County Sheriff’s Department detective, Baxter (Malek), to reel in a wily serial killer, the role Leto is circling. Deke’s nose for the “little things” (hence the title of the movie) proves eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma. All the while, Deke wrestles with a dark secret from his past.”

Jared Leto is one of the freakiest actors of the last couple decades. He’s extremely method, which usually makes for pretty good performances and even better on set stories. I think he is the perfect casting for a Ted Bundy-type charming serial killer. The other two actors attached to this, Denzel and Rami Malek, are obviously superstars. Malek is a deeply haunting and eerie actor, and Denzel is, well, Denzel. I was trying to think of other police roles Denzel did outside of ‘Training Day’ and the one movie I found was ‘Out of Time’. I never saw it, but the reviews didn’t look bad! John Lee Hancock is a decent director, but I really did NOT care for his last movie, ‘The Highwaymen’. It was brutally boring, especially considering it covered the hunt for Bonnie and Clyde. Hopefully, he can make something much more exciting with this concept and cast. Anyway, I can’t ever mention Jared Leto without bringing up his diet for ‘Chapter 27′, the movie where he played Mark David Chapman. Please read his weight-gain diet for the movie and have fun puking your guts out:
