Madden 20 Patrick Mahomes Is Going To Shatter So Many Controllers And Friendships This Year
Just wanted to throw a quick PSA out there to anybody buying Madden 20 this year to go ahead and outlaw Patrick Mahomes now before controllers and/or friendships are shattered into a million pieces by a play like that. Not since Madden 04 Vick have I seen such a force of nature in that is so clearly going to cause chaos both on and off the virtual gridiron. But that’s what happens when a QB has an 81 Speed, 96 Throw Power, 97 Throw On The Run, and 93+ in accuracy to every level of the field, thus turning him into a modern day Tecmo Bowl QB.
The craziest thing about it is I can’t even get mad at the Madden programmers for allowing Mahomes to unleash hell like that with his right arm with his body weight moving against him. Every week last season, my Twitter timeline would randomly explode with tweets like MAHOMES and HOLY FUCK PATRICK MAHOMES. Then once the video of the play finally came out, it would still blow my mind.
So making Mahomes pretty much a glitch in a video game just like God did in real life actually checks out. But if you are playing an exhibition against your friends or are doing a franchise with a bunch of friends (Top 10 best thing to do at college), just do yourself a favor and ban Mahomes now before things turn violent.
As for that play online, all I can say is just be ready to face that freak more times than not, because I feel like 9 out of 10 people will be choosing the Chiefs as their team this year because so many online players don’t have the gumption to play with anything but a Top 5 team.
Speaking of Madden, I’ve been talking about doing a weekly Tuesday evening Madden stream on Gametime for a while now. Pretty much I’ll play a Madden game while also MC’ing everyone in the chat discussing who their fantasy waiver targets are for that week since I imagine most Stoolies take their fantasy leagues wayyyy to seriously like I do. I imagine it will play out like the r/fantasyfootball subreddit in that we will have a bunch of people from different fanbases that also subscribe to different fantasy sites/mantras. So we will get insights into different players that we wouldn’t get just browsing the same 10 sites that everyone else uses along with the typical Barstool spin. I’m also going to win a fucking Super Bowl with the Daniel Jones, who will likely be the Patrick Mahomes of Madden 21.
