Looks Like Big Baller Brand Is About To Corner The Yard Sale Market

That sign is one of the funnier things I’ve seen in a while. First of all, it looks like somebody wrote it while holding a marker between their two elbows. Then you’ve got hoodies going for $20 at one spot. If you didn’t want to go for that deal at the top of the whiteboard, they haggled themselves down to $15 for a hoodie a little later on the board. And then we get to the $100 bundle. A pair of shoes, a hoodie, a t-shirt and a pair of socks all for $100. Even that seems to be a bit overpriced especially considering this is a cash-only sale. I mean who still carries around cash with them in 2019? Either get one of those little square card readers or set up a Venmo account, dude. Nobody carries cash on them anymore. But the fact that you can get all of that for $100 when Triple B’s first came out with a pair of shoes going for $495?

Honestly, I do feel a little bad for the Ball family at this point. Or at least for the kids. I mean their dad is a complete and total jackass. There’s really not much you can do about that. It’s not like they asked to come from that dude’s balls. They didn’t sign up to be a part of the Ball family. They didn’t have a say in that at all. I mean it’s still fun to laugh your ass off at how quickly BBB came crashing down. Especially considering the entire business model was essentially just LaVar being like, “hey, if I can just be the loudest jackass he could possibly be, say some completely unfounded shit like that he could beat MJ 1v1 in basketball, say his sons are all better than LeBron, profit, rinse & repeat”. And for about 15 minutes, it kind of worked. I mean I don’t know how many people actually bought a pair of BBB shoes, and he couldn’t even get his own sons to keep wearing them. But for about 15 minutes, at least everybody was talking about BBB.

And now they’ve gone from selling $495 shoes to having some kid set up a table at a volleyball tournament trying to sell a bundle of shoes, a hoodie, a shirt and a pair of socks all for $100. I don’t know. I guess it’s just we’ve gotten so used to seeing so many people get rich and famous for doing absolutely nothing lately that it’s kind of nice to see some of them come back down to reality. $5 shirts aren’t a bad investment though. Those could come back to be worth something 20 or 30 years down the road. Might have to check out the local volleyball scene to grab a few.
