Personally I think the whole headline joke is a bit played out, the numbers certainly suggest they aren’t an issue, but listen I am a big enough man to admit when I’ve been boom roasted. But look, if you want to include Yabu in any potential Anthony Davis trade there are going to be repercussions. You don’t get that level of talent AND Jayson Tatum for a guy who everyone thinks is going to walk in a year, that’s just the reality of the situation. To get a player like Yabu you have to subtract from other areas. I figured that was common sense.

Now I could be petty and talk about how the Pelicans are being strong-armed by Rich Paul and LeBron into folding and caving to their demands but I won’t. I’m also not going to do anything that might make my good friend Danny Ainge’s job any harder at the moment. In fact, I fear the Pelicans made a huge mistake with that tweet. They could have reached out to me and asked me to help them convince Danny Ainge to pay the price they want.
