Gameday Throwback - Cardinals Beat The Red Sox In Game 7 Of 1946 World Series
The likes of Stan Musial, Red Schoendienst, and Enos Slaughter (names were 100x better back in the day) beat Boston for a World Championship at a time when those things meant a whooooole lot. It would be great to have a guy named “Slaughter” on the Blues if we’re being honest.
The Blues have to channel these guys tonight and I believe they will. Win a game on home ice and you’re looking at a 3 game series for the Stanley Cup. I think the Blues will correct the penalty mistakes of Game 3 and make this a much tighter game. Having Oskar Sundqvist back will be huge and potentially a Dunn/Thomas sighting as well. Binnington will rebound and the building will be going absolutely ballistic if they can score early. I want it so bad I can taste it. C’mon STL LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN. #LETBORISDANCE!
