Come At The King, You Best Not Miss

Everyone on the #Brainwagon during that Final Jeopardy:

What a rush that was! James trailing after the first round, getting pushed to the limit in Double Jeopardy, and it all coming down to whether or not he could get Final Jeopardy right. All the James haters that cried about him beating them to a pulp on the show or think he has ruined the competitiveness of a game by being smart and daring as fuck were prayyyyying for Nate to pull it out while James fans were waiting for their guy to come through like Jordan in the 4th once again. Which he did. Again.

It’s not a matter of how much James beats his opponent by anymore. It’s if said opponent even has a mathematical chance to take the throne in Final Jeopardy. That’s the mark of true greatness and Nate had a chance to wear the crown. But unfortunately for him, James had more money because he had more guts for risking all his cash in the last Daily Double while Nate didn’t do the same in his 2nd Daily Double and the result was yet another W for The Holzhauer Howitzer.

The lesson here? If you have a chance to kill James, you better kill him. And if you don’t, he will rise up from the Earth to bury you 6 feet under.

You have my respect, Nate. When James is done, half of humanity will still be eligible to be a contestant on Jeopardy.

Speaking of respect, Alex Trebek addressing James as simply “Champ” is about as much respect as a mere mortal can receive. But when you are breaking every conceivable record on the show, I think it’s safe to say that respect is earned not given™.
