Is Tonight The Biggest Must-Win Game Of The Sixers' Season?
Honestly, it’s time to start asking that question. I hate to be the “hot take” guy here but I truly don’t see any chance of this Sixers’ season going any further if they don’t buckle down and win this game tonight in Toronto. And you know what?
I’ve got all the faith in the world right now.
Joel Embiid has had close to a full week to recover from whatever illness he’s been dealing with. Ben Simmons seems like he got punched in the nuts and is now out for vengeance. Jimmy Butler has been doing Jimmy Butler things. Mike Scott is telling the team to grow a set of balls, which means he’s more than ready for this game. And then we have idiotic reports like this one flying around this weekend.
Gotta love the New York Times writing a Brett Brown hit piece the day before the Sixers are playing in a game 7 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Not biased or anything like that. Bunch of scumbags up there trying to distract this team right before the biggest game of the season. But they’re also a bunch of fucking idiots because putting out a report like that 24 hours before game 7 is only going to make this team play harder. You’re telling me that not only do they have a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line, but they also have their coach’s job on the line as well?
BIG Sixers win tonight. And that rat bastard Marc Stein will play a pivotal role in the Philadelphia 76ers men’s professional basketball team crushing Toronto like a giant meteor and putting the Raptors into extinction.
So yes. It’s a must-win, can’t-lose game. Probably the biggest game so far for this franchise since 2001. And it’s because of idiots like Marc Stein that I feel extremely confident in this team tonight.
With that being said, I’m still stressed as heck. Because what bozo decided to schedule Sixers vs Raptors game 7 at 7pm tonight, then Hopkins vs Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA lacrosse tournament at 7:30pm, all right before the biggest episode of Thrones at 9pm? How am I supposed to handle all of that. Each deserves full, undivided attention. I obviously need to be on the internet during the Sixers/lacrosse games so it’s not like I can avoid any spoilers for Thrones. All I’m asking is that you all keep me in your thoughts and prayers tonight. I’m gonna need them.
Cue the music!
