MUST WATCH: Game Of Thrones Writers React To The Reception Of "The Battle Of Winterfell"

This might be the single greatest, most accurate piece of content I’ve ever seen on the internet. 10/10. It’s spot on with the criticisms of the episode while the hand motions and laughs are just perfect.

The one thing I think they missed is that, that episode made it very clear that Thrones has lost its Thronesness. It’s lost its essence. NEVER did you think the main characters were in actual trouble and might die. They did those cutaways whenever they got surrounded, which I guess were meant to add tension, but they actually relieved it because no one would cutaway in the middle of the emotional process of a major character dying. Same thing with The Night King marching at Bran, I didn’t for a second think he was going to actually kill him. I didn’t know who would be the savior, I thought it was gonna be Jon but I didn’t understand how he was gonna get there in the time, but I knew someone would do the saving.

All in all a fantastic video, unlike The Long Night which was disappointing.
