Big Brain James Straight Up Broke An Opponent's Spirit On Jeopardy Last Night

That was tough to watch. Poor Libby waited her whole life to play a game of Jeopardy on TV and all she got was $1,999 in exchange for her soul getting snatched from her body. To be honest though, I can’t blame her. Once I found out that Jeopardy contestants watch the previous games from the audience and knew exactly the gambling trivia superbot they would be facing, I realized that most of Big Brain James’ opponents were even more dead than people who had no idea what carnage awaited them on that stage once you weighed in the intimidation factor of seeing a force of nature that knows every answer and will bet the house every time out. But also a machine that has apparently cracked the code of where the Daily Doubles are hidden.

And don’t tell me the guy who willfully has left at least $100,000 on the table in Final Jeopardy cares about a few extra bucks in a first round Daily Double. He’s just establishing dominance early while also taking the DD off the board for everyone else by cracking the Matrix code.

If you had to go through the mental meatgrinder of facing an unstoppable force only to have it run over you, I can’t blame you from not even throwing out a miracle guess in Final Jeopardy and bending the knee to the Early Evening King.
