There Has Been No Bigger Lie In TV History Than Gendry Saying He's Fucked Three Chicks

We know the scene:

But leading into this part was Arya asking Gendry how many chicks he slept with. It’s the absolute wrong question to ask at that time. ESPECIALLY with it being the first date/hook up. You just don’t do that.

But here’s the thing. Gendry is a goddamn liar. Allow Steve Stifler to explain:

The rule of three is a very well-known thing. That’s why Gendry saying three was the funniest part of the show (outside of Tormund asking for the big woman) and also the biggest lie in television history.

He’s clearly caught up in the moment. I mean we’ve all been there. You’re trying to hook up with someone and you get caught off guard with a question. It’s typically not the number one. But, there’s typically something there to get you flustered.

Thank God she didn’t ask for names. Not only would that have gotten Gendry caught up in a bigger lie, but you know Arya would have added those names to her list. He would have had innocent women killed in Westeros because Arya is wild.

I’ll say this though. This made Game of Thrones feel real. I mean, sure, there are still dragons and zombies and shit. But, this felt real. This is the one time where I went, ah, yes this isn’t a television show.

So I don’t blame Gendry for saying three. It’s the common answer here.

But, it’s just the biggest lie in television history. Hell, it’s the biggest lie in fake or real life.
