Hockey Ref Gets Knocked Out Cold Trying To Stop A Fight

If you know anything about the LNAH, you know that it’s a fighting league where occasionally some hockey is played. It’s just a pure gongshow for 60 straight minutes. It’s like if the movie Goon was real life except if every player on every roster was Doug “The Thug” Glatt. So if you can imagine the type of animal it takes to be a player in that league, you can only imagine the type of person it would take to be a ref in that league. That’s like signing up to be a cop in the most crime-ridden neighborhood on the planet.

And then to be a linesman in that league? To be the guy who is in charge of stopping all of the fights before somebody legitimately gets beat to death on the ice? I know that I shit on refs from time to time here but it takes a massive set of nuts to be a linesman in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey. Aaaaaand this right here is exactly why.

It’s not the player’s fault. It’s not the linesman’s fault. This is just what you’re dealing with in the LNAH. You’ve got a bunch of psychopaths out there seeing red and looking for their fists to connect with anything in reach. This isn’t just any ol’ ordinary hockey league where it’s common knowledge that a fight stops once the players hit the ice. For all this guy knew, the tilt was still going on even after he got ragdolled there. Jersey was over his head, he popped right back up, and kept swinging away for dear life. Only issue is that it ended up being a zebra that got a hold of him and then he ended up catching him square in the face with a right. Down goes Frazier.
