Sansa Stark And Joffrey Happily Taking A Picture Together Should Be Against The Law

Look, I’m not some crazy Game of Thrones supernerd that can’t tell the difference between fiction and reality. I understand that there is a difference between Sophie Turner and *checks IMDB* Jack Gleeson smiling together in a picture and Sansa Stark letting bygones be bygones about Joffrey putting removing her father’s head from his body then putting it on a spike. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it. The reason Game of Thrones is such a huge show is because we are completely obsessed and irrational about it, just like sports. I will be sadder when some characters die on Sunday nights over the next 2 months than I will be after actual members of my family died. Again, it’s not rational but it’s real. I spent too much time hissing at a fictional character and celebrating like one of my teams won a championship as life seeped away from his body during the Purple Wedding because he was such a monster to his bride-to-be and other fictional characters in a fictional story. Seeing a picture like that puts my fanboy brain directly into the blender then hits the Puree button.

Then again, how can I possibly stay mad at someone I named the Queen of Barstool only a couple of weeks ago?

As long as Sansa Sophie doesn’t marry Joffrey Jack if she ever moves on from Joe Jonas, everything will be okay. Jon Snow and Ygritte tying the knot is cute. But Joffrey and Sansa exchanging vows is just wrong on so many levels.

Also shout out to HBO for showing the first episode of Season 8 to tons of random people at Radio City last night and hoping not one person spoils it for the rest of us. It’s like they don’t even realize the internet is dark and full of assholes.
