In Honor Of Opening Day, We're Waking Up With Ian Happ Homering On The Very First Pitch Of The 2018 MLB Season

With the start of the baseball season kicking off in a few hours I figured it was only right to bring it back to last season when the Cubs' Ian Happ went yard on the very first pitch of the season. Happ did what the annoucers said he was going to do and wasted 0 time. For that brief moment in time, he led all of baseball in home runs. That has to be one of the coolest moments in the world, homering on the very first pitch of the season. Literally can't start your season out any better than that. Love the crowd reaction too. That place was covered in Cubs' blue, I'm not sure any Marlins fans were there. Couple that with this was the first game on the MLB schedule last year as well, so not only did Happ homer on the first pitch of the Cubs season, it was the first pitch of the baseball season. Pretty damn cool. I'll chain myself to the Brooks Robinson Statue in Baltimore if the first pitch of the MLB season today is hit for a home run. Scouts honor.
