ANTHONY PETTIS SLEEPS WONDERBOY AND TAKES HIM OFF HIS FEET WITH A SUPERMAN PUNCH!!!

HOLY SHIT! We got two fucking excruciatingly brutal UFC main event knockouts in the last two weeks!

Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson came into UFC Nashville tonight the biggest favorite on the card, and Anthony Pettis just showed how silly it was to count “Showtime” out of a fight. After getting pieced up pretty well for the first round and a half or so of fighting – his first time at welterweight, working the same come-forward style we saw him implement versus Tony Ferguson at UFC 229 – Pettis unleashed a DEVASTATING hooked superman punch (almost off the cage!) to absolutely DEEEEAAAAD Wonderboy, and followed it up with a few less-than-necessary shots. It’s all good, though, you fight ’til the ref tells ya not to, and there’s no bad blood here.

I’ve been all in on the resurrection and resurgence of Pettis’ career since he rebounded after that rough Holloway loss, and that bandwagon got SO MUCH STRONGER tonight. “Showtime” is certainly back, becoming the first man to ever knock Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson out at one-seventy. Give that man his fifty-g’s, baybayyyyyy!
