USC's Blind Long Snapper Jake Olson Puts Up 17 Reps On The Bench Press At USC's Pro Day Because There's Nothing He Can't Do

Jake Olson is one of the more impressive human beings I’ve ever seen or heard of. The man has been blind since age 12 because of a rare form of cancer called retinoblastoma, but that hasn’t stopped him from doing anything in his life it seems. We’ve blogged about him countless times and how inspirational he is. He took a live snap in a game for USC against Western Michigan despite not being able to see. That still is unbelievable to me this day.

Well now he’s out here posting 17 reps on the bench. SEVENTEEN.

I mean come on…how is that even possible? When I used to work out I could barely do 10 reps and that was with 135 pounds of weight. This is 225 and he’s posting 17 without being able to see. You need to be able to see and focus I feel like to do a bench press. Maybe I’m wrong. Well, if I’m an NFL team I’m drafting him I don’t care what anyone says. The kid can literally do it all. Jake went on PMT a while back and was phenomenal. If you haven’t listened make sure you do.

If you’d like to donate to Jake’s cause you can do so here.
