We May Be At War With Russia After This Public Flogging By Pat Maroon

The St. Louis Blues lost at home last night to the Phoenix Coyotes while outshooting them 40-22. It makes it even worse when you consider the fact that the Coyotes weren’t even wearing the cool ass uniforms they’ve been bringing back lately.

When the “Kachinas” come out, you can’t fault anybody for losing to them, it’s only natural. And while that fact puts a damper on the night overall, it may pale in comparison to the fact that we may soon be involved in a thermonuclear war with Putin and Russia due to the war crime committed against Ilya Lyubushkin last night by Pat Maroon.

There’s just no way that ended the way the young man from Moscow wanted it to. They say you never forget your first time, but I have a feeling Lyubushkin will have absolutely memory at all from his first NHL bout, and that’s if he retained any brain cells at all. Yikes! Lyubushkin is listed at 6’2″ and 201 lbs and Maroon 6’3″ 225lbs so it isn’t exactly like Johnny Gaudreau vs Zdeno Chara, but I would advise against him tangling with the Big Rig in the future. Maybe start with someone more like me or Grinnelli next time Ilya. Some of these shots were BOMBS and completely unblocked. Just a nightmare scenario.

I’d urge the United Nations to consider the fact that Lyubushkin was a willing participant and even slashed Maroon beforehand to indicate that he was interesting in engaging. Please hold off on any sanctions and let cooler heads prevail so we don’t rush into WWIII.

P.S. I know there is not point in arguing about it the next day but goddamn with this shit.
