Has A Baseball Ever Been Hit Further Than This?

No. No it hasn’t. Conventional wisdom tells me this ball landed, likely shortly after it was struck, but I can’t prove that. And neither can you. That ball went smooth over that scoreboard in left field and then just kept going in perpetuity. And yes I understand this was a BP, zero pressure, March 5th home run that has zero consequence on the rest of the world but I don’t care. That thing was fucking smoked. I haven’t given a shit about Spring Training in a solid 15 years but hearing that ball struck so perfectly on the screws made me feel things. And it really has half to do with how cleanly this was hit and half to do with how fucking cool Javy Baez is with everything he does. Anyone else does this I probably don’t care. Javy does it and I use it as an excuse to post more old Javy highlights just cause.
