Flyers Put The Islanders Into Their Jammies, Tuck Them In And Kiss Them Goodnight

If you just started tuning into hockey on Thursday night, you’d probably think that the New York Islanders were the greatest team ever assembled and that their fans were the greatest fans in hockey history. They put an absolute beatdown on the Toronto Maple Leafs in John Tavares’ return to the Coli and the fans put on one of the rowdiest performances we’ve seen in a while.

However, the Islanders must have wasted all their goals on Thursday night and the fans must have wasted all their energy then as well. Because today the Coliseum belonged to the Philadelphia Flyers and they get to leave the Island with a big 2 points after a nice little 4-1 win. They changed the Islanders into their jammies, tucked them into bed, read them a story and kissed them on the forehead. Say goodnight, Isles.
