With the All Star festivities kicking off tonight with the Rising Stars Challenge, what better way to end your workday and get ready for the weekend than to relive some of the best moments we’ve had over the years in this event. As a reminder the format has changed over the years and is now Team World vs Team USA with Team USA being a -3 favorite heading into tonight’s contest. They also haven’t won this game in back to back years so if you plan on betting this game keep that in mind.

But whether you prefer the Rookie/Sophomore format or World/USA the one constant is that this game over the years has provided us with some pretty awesome moments. I mean it’s been 6 years since Kyrie Irving completely destroyed Brandon Knight and he STILL hasn’t recovered. I’ve always enjoyed this game as a nice appetizer for the rest of the weekend, mostly because the talent we see is always legit as hell and this year is no different.

Team USA: Jarrett Allen, Marvin Bagley III, Kevin Knox, John Collins, Jaren Jackson Jr, De’Aaron Fox, Kyle Kuzma, Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, Trae Young

Team World: OG Anunoby, DeAndre Ayton, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Luka Doncic, Shai Gileous-Alexander, Rodions Kurucs, Lauri Markkanen, Josh Okogie, Cedi Osman, Ben Simmons

Over the years guys like LeBron, Melo, Jason Richardson, John Wall, Blake Griffin, Kyrie, Wade, Baron Davis, the list goes on and on have all taken this opportunity to bust out some pretty impressive moves and give the people what they want. I’m already excited to see what this year’s crop comes up with, so take the rest of your day and head into the weekend by enjoying a nice top 50 countdown of the best plays in this event’s history

Have a great weekend everybody and enjoy the festivities!
