The week 15 college hockey rankings are here. Unfortunately, we don’t have many changes. Fortunately, we have finally added the future mecca of college hockey to the mix. So we’ll start there.

Arizona State comes in at #10 this week. I have been looking for reasons all season to get them in the top-10, but knew I would get shit when I did because people don’t think they are legit. Well I’m here today to tell you that the Arizona State Sun Devils are a legit hockey team. At 19-10-1 the Sun Devils have played a ton of hockey this season and have beaten some good teams including Penn State and a tie against Minnesota State.

The Sun Devils still have a long way to go, but they are worth of a spot in the top-10 this week, and if they can finish the season strong with wins of American International and Minnesota, the Sun Devils may find themselves dancing.

Ohio State remains at #3 in the rankings this week but they continue to impress. They’ll head to Wisconsin this weekend to face a tough Wisco team. Mason Jobst has looked like one of the top players in college hockey from start to finish this season. In 26 games, the Senior forward has 32 points (14g, 18a) and has been a wizard on the PP with 7 power play goals.

Quinnipiac moves up a spot to #4 this week. They had their way with a good Clarkson team last Friday night and then spanked St. Lawrence on Saturday. The way the Bobcats are playing makes me look like such an asshole for leaving them out of the rankings a few weeks back. They are a good hockey team though with a very good coach. At 20-5-1 Rand Pecknold has QU playing some of their best hockey in years.

Goal of the week:

Denver’s Brett Stapley OT winner against North Dakota this weekend is hands down the goal of the week. Would have been the goal of the week if they were up 7-0. Not only was it pure filth, it won the game for the boys.
